July 11-12, 2009What do I need to know?
We are changing your DNA! By not publishing a list of prepared opportunities for service, we are saying to you, “Think like a missionary follower of Christ and find your place of service!” We want everyone to realize that God has a place for them to serve and to make those connections by simply saying, “Our Church is taking the days of July 11th – 12th to serve the community. How can we serve you?” Then be amazed at the doors that God opens! Remember to wear your BigServe t-shirt! They are on sale for $5 each in the Live the Mission Center.Don’t forget to tell us! To register your group’s project, please e-mail Craig Clayton , cclayton@firstnorfolk.org and include: Ministry Team (Name of Group/Bible Study class & normal meeting time), Team Leader Contact Info (Name, Preferred Phone #, E-mail Address), Brief Project Description, Location (including address), and Time (Saturday or Sunday including time). We also need to hear a report of how God uses your team with your five best pictures attached. This will need to be e-mailed to cclayton@firstnorfolk.org and sharper@firstnorfolk.org as soon as possible on Saturday or Sunday in preparation for our celebration service.
What is our goal?
While helping people is a wonderful display of the love of Christ, it is like an airplane with one wing…it doesn’t fly! People will always have needs, but our goal is to lead them to the living water (John 4) of Jesus. We need to find as many opportunities as possible to share the Good News of Jesus with the people of our community!To find your class project, click here (updated July 8, 2009)
