The Women’s Ministry of First Baptist exists to glorify God by reaching, teaching, and encouraging the women of our church and Hampton Roads. Our Ministry is designed to help women connect to one another in settings where they can build meaningful relationships with other women as they come to faith in God, grow in Christian maturity and live out their faith by service others. Our Mission is to provide opportunities for women to grow in their faith as they make friends who can encourage them on their journey with God. Our Bible studies, LIFEgroups, encouragement groups, mission groups, community ministries and special events are planned with the needs of women in mind! Many of our ministries provide wonderful programs for preschool age and homeschooled children. Our desire is for women to Love God, Love Others and Live the Mission!

Fight Back With Joy by Margaret Feinberg begins Sept. 12 &13

Celebrate More. Regret Less. Stare Down Your Greatest Fears.

Through vulnerable storytelling, humor, and a difficult diagnosis, Margaret Feinberg shows how joy is more than whimsy; it's the weaponry you can use to fight life's greatest battles. In this 6-session Bible study you will learn how to expand your joy threshold by awakening to God's fierce love for you; escape fear and regret by applying biblical truths to whatever crisis you're facing; discover freedom from the past by learning how to turn mourning into joy: Rise above your circumstances and become more winsome, cheerful, and thankful. Beings September 12 & 13. Tuesday Mornings - 9:30 AM, Room 300. Wednesday Evenings - 6 PM, Room 317/319. Book Cost: $13 Details: Liz Fentress, lfentress@firsnorfolk.org or 802.9519

Project Comfort is an unpaid volunteer ministry that is completely self-funded through donations. There is much work to be done, and you can be involved! If you're interested in volunteering or donating to Project Comfort, please contact Debbie Allen at djallen1059@gmail.com. Learn more about Project Comfort in this blog post.
