About Us
First Support
Encouragement groups
are support groups designed to address one or more of the more painful areas in life. Groups are led by qualified, trained, and screened individuals. These groups may be “closed” in nature in that attendees are pre-screened before they are allowed to participate.
The goal of each group is not to encourage participants to merely COPE with an existing problem but to have actual victory OVER the problem. Christ told his disciples that he had “come that they might have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10b). The goal is to strengthen individuals and their families in safe, secure, environments allowing both encouragement and guidance to those attending.
Encouragement group leaders have education, training, extensive backgrounds, and years of experience in fields directly related to their group topics. These encouragement groups are not intended to replace medically prescribed or therapeutic groups.
Encouragement groups are supported and supervised in conjunction with:

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. (Eph 3:20)
You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3)
