Students

Transformed Student Ministry is a collection of teenagers (Grades 6-12) and adults who are passionate about becoming fully devoted followers of Christ. It is our desire to create a relevant environment where students can be Accepted for who they are, Lead to a deeper relationship with Christ, and Sent out to their schools and neighborhoods to live out their faith. Teenagers and their families need a place to connect with each other and to God if they are going to live in the fullness of Jesus Christ. First Baptist Norfolk strives to be that place. Together we build relationships that last and reach Hampton Roads with the love of Christ. Below is a snapshot of a few ways to connect with our ministry team and a few worship and Bible Study environments that you can check out.

We believe that the Bible has something to say to us today. Each week 6th-12th grade students gather together to discover God's plan for their life. As students come in they break into Bible Study groups by their grade. Each age group is led by adult Student Ministry leaders who are passionate about God and His power to guide us in life. You never know what will happen in Bible Study so do not miss it! Studies are presented in a relaxed atmosphere and coupled with Church-wide Worship services. Join us at the any of the following times and locations:
  • Sunday Morning at Norfolk location - 9:30 & 11 AM
  • Sunday Morning at Chesapeake Fellowship - 11 AM

Every Student needs time to slow down and connect with God. Empowered is a student worship service where you can take time to connect with your Creator. The entire service is geared to help you hear God. The live band, video, drama, prayer times, and the speaker are all there to help you think about how God is at work in your life. Meets once a month. Each time you can join teenagers who are seeking to know more about God. Come and check it out! Schedule TBA.

Grades 6-12 - 6-7:30 PM on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.
