Welcome to one of the exciting ministries at First Norfolk! Here’s a little about us: The Young at Heart Ministry serves active men and women over the age of 50. In Young at Heart, seniors can continue to use their gifts and skills where they feel most comfortable. We have monthly activities and additional Young at Heart ministry opportunities where seniors can meet new friends, serve, volunteer, and participate in activities of their interest. Everything the Young at Heart does has God at the center as its goal. Monthly Program: Special Speaker, Food, Fun, and Fellowship for All Senior Adults! Special Annual Events: Senior Adult Summer Camp Young at Heart Christmas Social Additional Young at Heart Ministry Opportunities Young at Heart Master’s Choir Senior Adult Council Young at Heart Sponsored Trips Mission Dignity – In support of retired pastors and their wives Young at Heart generously donates.

Our Mission is to honor God by:

Providing opportunities for spiritual growth for senior adults;

Creating opportunities for fellowship and adventure;

Reaching lost and unchurch senior adults.

Could We See a Hyperactive 2024 Hurricane Season?!

Just a few days into the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season there’s already a lot of talk about how this season could be one of the most active in years. We’ll go over the various outlooks for the season, why the thinking is for more storms than less, and about Hampton Roads’ vulnerabilities when it comes to tropical storms and hurricanes. Tim Pandajis is the Chief Meteorologist at 13News Now – he has returned to Hampton Roads after spending a few years at KHOU in Houston, Texas, a sister station of 13News Now. He was born, raised, and educated in Connecticut but has spent over 10 years living in Virginia, first in Richmond and then in Hampton Roads. In 2021 he completed his master’s degree from Virginia Tech.

In Touch Homebound LIFEgroup

Are you homebound or know someone who is homebound who would like to be a part of a telephone LIFEgroup that meets weekly?

This group provides prayer support, care, encouragement and an opportunity to find hope in God’s word each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. In Touch Homebound group members can join in by calling 1-877-407-0030.
