God is at work at First Norfolk and here are some of the highlights from 2023.
95 Baptisms
Over the course of the calendar year, we saw 95 baptisms both within the walls of our church and at beach baptism.
135 New Members
A total of 135 new members, comprised of 93 families brand new to membership and the baptisms of children and students in families already part of our church.
2003 People Attended LIFEgroup
This is the total unique attenders that were a part of our Preschool, Kids, Students, Young Adult, and Adult groups in 2023.
110 Completed Growth Track
Over one hundred people went throu Growth Track, our class that offers a pathway to meaningful membership at First Norfolk.
16 New LIFEgroups
In order to accomodate new people attending or joining our family, we needed to create new groups across all ages.
Faithful Giving
The members of First Norfolk gave 3,792,537 to budget and $4,279,535 overall.
$98,000 in Benevolence
Our church family gave $98,000 in funds to those in our community and our church family in times of financial crisis or need.
Food Distribution
Our monthly food distribution provided 4,472 people with a week’s worth of food in 2023.
705 People Serving
So many in our church family worked together as the body to accomplish the work of the ministry. In LIFEgroups, special events, maintenance, caring for the community, mentorship, hospitality, and more.
Made a Difference for 575 Children
Our family impacted the lives of 575 children internationally through partnership with Compassion International and Operation Christmas Child.
729 Part of VBS
Over the course of one week, First Norfolk members from every age and stage of life worked together to bring the Gospel into the lives of hundreds of children in our community.
38 on International Mission Journeys
We sent 38 people from our church family on mission to Spain, Malawi, Cuba, South Sudan, and more.
1,130 Guests
We came in contact with more than 1,130 people through Sunday worship, VBS, camps, LIFEgroups, and other ongoing ministry.
Supported 5 North American Church Plants
Provided ongoing support to church plants in Montreal, Ottawa, Edmonton, Brooklyn, and Fredericksburg.
Supported 4 International Church Plants
Provided flood and famine relief in Malawi, in addition to roofs for 3 churches. Provided land for a church plant in Congo.
Curt Breland Multiplication Center
The center was launched in South Sudan with Empower One. Our family contributed $80,000 to this effort.
