Our church is hosting a Financial Peace University class, where you'll learn how to get out of debt and free up your money to live, give and serve how God wants you to! Over 9 weeks, participants learn biblically based strategies for getting out of debt, managing finances, and building wealth that glorifies God. Healthy marriages start long before the wedding. Couples who participate in pre-marital counseling experience an increase in marital fulfillment over those who do not. Merge prepares seriously dating and engaged couples for marriage by addressing common challenges from a biblical perspective. Whether you go to First Norfolk, attend another church, or don't go to church at all, you are welcome to attend. Re:generation helps us become more like Jesus through the vehicle of a 12-Step program. Key differences between re:generation and other recovery ministries include: daily lessons, emphasis on spiritual disciplines, integration with the church, and no separation based on struggle. This is deeper than 12 steps: it is learning biblical ways to grow and overcome destructive thoughts and habits. The Moms of Prodigals group provides a safe and nurturing community where mothers unite to support one another through prayer and reflection on Scripture. Over the course of 14 weeks, participants engage in small group discussions focused on daily prayer readings from God’s word and Christ-centered curriculum. Often, friends and family want to help you, but don't know how. That's the reason for GriefShare. Our group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have successfully rebuilt their lives. We understand how you feel because we've been in the same place. We have several opportunities for vocalists and instrumentalists wishing to serve in worship gatherings here at First Norfolk. Being a part of these groups requires a calling and commitment, as each is involved in weekly services as well as special events throughout the year. Each Sunday morning, a combination of these groups lead our church in worship, but no one group leads every week.
