Welcome to one of the exciting ministries at First Norfolk!

Here’s a little about us:

The Young at Heart Ministry serves active men and women over the age of 50.
In Young at Heart, seniors can continue to use their gifts and skills where they feel most comfortable.
We have monthly activities and additional Young at Heart ministry opportunities where seniors can meet new friends, serve, volunteer, and participate in activities of their interest. Everything the Young at Heart does has God at the center as its goal.

Monthly Program: Special Speaker, Food, Fun, and Fellowship for All Senior Adults!
Special Annual Events: Senior Adult Summer Camp, Young at Heart Christmas Social
Additional Young at Heart Ministry Opportunities: Young at Heart Master’s Choir, Senior Adult Council, Young at Heart Sponsored Trips Mission Dignity: In support of retired pastors and their wives Young at Heart generously donates

Our Mission is to honor God by:
Providing opportunities for spiritual growth for senior adults;
Creating opportunities for fellowship and adventure;
Reaching lost and unchurch senior adults.

You're Invited - COME AND JOIN US! Young at Heart Program - Food, Fun, and Fellowship for All Senior Adults! The program (including lunch) is $10. We can't wait to see you then! Registration coming soon!

Program: Soli Deo - Young Musicians of Virginia

Soli Deo, from Young Musicians of Virginia (YMV), is comprised of 12 high school singers, selected by audition. They rehearse twice a week for 50 minutes and have many performances throughout the year. For Christmas 2025, we performed for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Kick Off, Founder’s Inn Grand Illumination, numerous local parties, at Regent Theater before the Virginia Symphony’s Messiah performance, Bruton Parish in Colonial Williamsburg, and many others! We have been selected to perform at the Virginia Music Educators Conference in Richmond. We entertained friends and family at the YMV Variety Show, performed at the Jamestown Visitors Center, and are now here to sing for you. Above all, Soli Deo is an ensemble of students who love the Lord, are committed to vocal excellence, and give the glory to God for their talent.

Are you homebound or know someone who is homebound who would like to be a part of a telephone LIFEgroup that meets weekly?

This group provides prayer support, care, encouragement and an opportunity to find hope in God’s word each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. In Touch Homebound group members can join in by calling 1-701-802-5445.
