Being a part of a LIFEgroup at First Baptist Norfolk connects you with a community of people in a similar stage of life. As a senior adult, you face unique opportunities and challenges. LIFEgroups for senior adults are a way for you to continue to grow in your faith, be surrounded by people who care for one another, and serve others. Click on the link below for the latest guide. Most of our groups are meeting over video conference and some are meeting with a simple phone call. For more details, email Liz Fentress.

All senior adults are invited to meet each month on the first Tuesday at 10:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall of our Kempsville Road Location. Each month, we spend time in the Word, pray together, hear from interesting speakers, fellowship, sing, and occasionally have a special feature. The senior adult council meets at 12:45 PM on the same day. Lunch will be provided. Our next meeting is June 1. To register click here or for more information, please contact email@example.com or phone (757) 461-3226, ext. 281.
Born to two God-fearing attorneys, Seth grew up fiercely fascinated with two worlds - ministry and law. Resisting having to choose one over the other, he attended Liberty University to become
an international missions lawyer, earning a BA in Pre-law (’14) and a MA in Pastoral Counseling (’15). Although being admitted to law school, in obedience to The Lord’s call on his life, Seth
withdrew, and attended seminary. Immediately, The Lord opened doors for ministry, including Family Pastor at Union Hill Baptist and Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist, Altavista, VA. He earned his M.Div. (’17) and is nearing completion of a doctoral degree in Christian Leadership. Seth speaks at several conferences and summits each year, but will tell you his greatest joy has been serving as Minister to Families with Students at First Baptist Norfolk, his role since 2019. He has a heart to see intergenerational ministry and is thrilled to share with us about this. Seth enjoys traveling, reading, writing songs, singing, playing guitar, paddleboarding, mountain climbing, and deep-sea fishing.
